Quinta da Foz Reserva (Red) 2013

Grape Varieties - Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz & Touriga Franca of very old vineyards (vineyards with more than 80 years)

Vinification - The grapes are selected from the oldest parcels of our vineyards and the fruit is harvested at perfect phenolic ripeness of each parcel. The fermentation is made in the historic granitic lagares with the traditional feet treading process, with controlled temperature. Maceration for 15 days with skin contact

Ageing - 18 months in French oak barrels

Vineyards - Old terraced schist vineyard plantations

Tasting notes - Cherry red colour. Complex and intense aromas dominated by red fruits as well as the black plum and light floral tones. Dark chocolate notes and spice from the aging in French oak barrels. In the mouth it is a full-bodied wine, which brings aromas of fresh fruit. Seamless, velvety, well integrated tannins give the wine elegance and a pleasant and persistent finish.

Alcohol: 14% abv

Serving temperature: 16ºC – 18ºC

Winemakers: Filipe Ferreira / Pedro Branco
