Grape Varieties - Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz & Touriga Franca
Vinification - The grapes are selected from the oldest parcels of our vineyards and the fruit is harvested at perfect phenolic ripeness of each parcel. The fermentation is made in the historic granitic lagares with the traditional feet treading process, with controlled temperature. Maceration for 15 days with skin contact
Aging - 18 months in new French oak barrels
Vineyards - Old terraced schist vineyard plantations
Tasting notes - Red intense color with a slight hint purple. The nose is explosive with red and black forest fruits. After this comes subtler notes of violets and a touch of pepper.
A well rounded mouthfeel with volume and length. Smooth tannins, and flavors of dried fruit. There is a freshness to this wine with racy acidity, flavors of chocolate and rose petal compliment the finish.
Alcohol: 14% abv
Service temperature: 16ºC – 18ºC
